Why do you need a mural? Why does anyone need a mural? Because art brings joy. Art livens up quite literally any space, becoming a conversation starter and bringing a smile or look of awe to a friend, family member or client’s face. But you already knew that, which is what brought you here. I could go on and on about how art has changed people’s lives, including our own. I could talk about studies where researchers have proven direct links between the visual stimulation of color and a positive effect on the brain. I could continue about how good art makes people converse about meaningful issues and encourages problem solving, both public and private, and how art has helped heal veterans with PTSD. Better yet, I could talk about the luxury side of the art world, and how having a home filled with the work of notable painters mounted in elegant frames brings a timeless class unparalleled by nearly anything else in history. But you already knew all of that.
Art changes lives. Art solves problems. Art is therapy, charm and luxury. We all need it, and we all want it in some form or another.
That’s why we’re here. We started doing art on our own as kids, and it quickly took over our lives. Art classes, endless practicing, entering competitions and calls for artists, you name it. Upon becoming close friends and eventually partners, we discovered that the powers of art could only be multiplied. We began with bouncing ideas off of each other and talking about previous projects in passing, and eventually discovered that we were greatly improving our work this way. Grant has always been inspired by comics and fantasy; by action and adventure, never fearing the use of bright color, dramatic angles or unconventional themes. Kaylyn has always taken a calmer approach, preferring her work to be straightforward, often black and white. She specializes in graphite and ink drawing, with classical methods such as cross-hatching.
What do you get when these two approaches to creativity meet? Exactly what you want! Roadrunner was born in early 2019 when we finally decided to meld our love of creating with our love of travel. We have already been asked if we are a chain due to our advertising in different locations around the States, and the answer is quite obviously that we are not. We are two people who love the visual arts and love to see new places. Thus, we will come to you, nearly anywhere in the US, and make your mural (or fine art) dream come true. As we continue to grow our business and visit new cities, our portfolio will continue to grow, so check back often to see our latest work.
We are exceedingly grateful to those who’ve given us opportunities in the past and hope that you’ll give us one in the future!
